Pacific Ties is the oldest student-run Asian and Pacific Islander newsmagazine in the nation. Since 1977, this organization has brought the public news, analysis, commentary, criticism, and insight into the API community.
PROCESS
As a Staff Illustrator, I draw illustrations and design editorial layouts to accompany written works, which are published in print and digital magazines. In order to conceptualizes Asian Pacific Islander Desi American-centered themes into visuals, I conduct extensive research on cultural themes, symbols, and historical events for accurate representation.
