DETAILS

During this summer 2026 internship, I worked with an incredible team of Senior Art Directors to ideate, design, and eventually lead out-of-home campaigns. The role was not limited to simply sitting behind a desk on Adobe apps; I participated in brainstorms with national clients including Poshmark, National Geographic, & Allstate Insurance; I contributed to client discovery and creative calls; By the end, I was able to independently lead campaigns myself, ultimately achieving 100% client approvals on all presented designs.

Brett Diese (New Jersey Intern)

WHAT I LEARNED & accomplished

Pike Nurseries is a campaign I collaborated on with the other 3 OUTFRONT interns.

The two most important takeaways from this project are:

  1. Ideating a concept from start to finish: this went beyond design; the process involved copywriting, brainstorming for different advertising canvases, experimenting with experiential mockups, and ultimately bridging the gap between copy & imagery.

  2. Working with a team: I learned how to truly design together - when to split into groups and when to regroup all at once. I grasped how to take critiques and leverage them to the fullest.

In the end, we presented our designs to several Creative Directors and Art Directors, whose notable comments were:

  • The copy stood out & was very strong; it encompassed the overarching idea efficiently

  • The design skills exemplified were up to par to those of the current designers on the OUTFRONT team

  • The campaign displayed thoughtfulness and creativity in the experimentation with different out-of-home media

WHAT I LEARNED & accomplished

Dameron Hospital is a campaign for which I designed under the guidance of my mentor, Alexis Cabán. I was involved from start to finish - beginning with the discovery call where the client discusses their initial idea to the final presentation, where I walked them through my design choices.

This campaign included two minimal revisions. During these revision calls, I learned how to navigate client interactions, e.g., when to accept a client's suggestion or when to steer them into a different, more effective direction.

The slide above shows the two main formats of the design. As shown above, we were able to convince the client to invest in billboard extensions for optimal impact, reflecting the success of the designs.

tax relief helpers

Leading a multi-state tax relief campaign, from discovery call to presentation.

WHAT I LEARNED & accomplished

I worked on Tax Relief Helpers with my mentor, Daniel Alvarado overseeing the campaign.

This campaign was wholly my independent work: I spoke to the client during the discovery call, where I learned about their business and goals with the advertisement. From then, I worked on ideating and designing bulletin concepts.

The designs were essentially approved during Round 1, and the client was extremely happy with the results, so much so that they chose multiple designs instead of sticking with one. Additionally, they requested expanding the designs with extensions, which is another win!

WHAT I LEARNED & accomplished

I collaborated with my mentor, Daniel Alvarado on this dental campaign.

The process was extremely fun because we worked together on brainstorming copy ideas, as the client gave us full creative liberty.

We presented them with the options shown above, with the first two being my design and the third, Daniel's. The client ultimately approved the first design during the presentation call, and loved the dental bib imagery. He said, after all, who wants to see sharp dental tools on a giant billboard? And I completely agree.
